When starting in Power BI, there is always a misapprehension that reports and dashboards are the same. However, this is not true. Reports and dashboards are two distinct entities and have their own significance.

Power BI report contains visuals such as bar graphs, line graphs, and tables. They give a detailed analysis of facts and the data.

On other hand, dashboards take visuals from multiple reports to show the decision making facts that are pertinent to run a business. It displays the key visuals of business which capture the dynamics of business changes all in one screen.
