Personalization Setting in Dynamics 365 CE
Customize your Dynamics 365 workspace to fit your needs and preferences.
For instance, you can select the page that appears immediately upon signing in.
Additionally, you can personalize various other settings, including language, currency, and time zone.
To set personal options
- Select the Settings button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Select Personalization Settings.
- Fill in the information, as required. Select on a tab here to see information on settings.
- When you’re done, select OK.
Setting Under General Tab
Select Your Home Page and Settings for Get Started Panes
- Default Pane: Choose the default home pane you want to see when you sign in to system. By default, the system uses the “Default based on user role” option, which selects the pane based on your role. Note: You can only set panes and tabs available for your role.
- Default Tab: Select the default tab to display for the chosen default pane. For example, set the Accounts tab for the Service pane.
Setting under General Tab
Records Per Page: Set the maximum number of records to display in a list per page. You can choose a value between 50 and 250.
•Time Zone: Select the time zone for your region.
•Currency: Choose the default currency for financial transactions. Use the Lookup button to search for and select your preferred currency.
Setting under Activities Tab
Default View: Select your preferred default calendar view.
Work Hours: Set your default work hours by choosing your start and end times.
Setting under Formats Tab
Format Preview: Displays the current region and its formats for Number, Currency, Time, and Date.
Customize: Select this option to add a new region and customize its formats.
Setting under Email Tab
- Allow Others to Send Emails: Enable this option to allow other users to send emails on your behalf.
- Track Email Messages: Choose the types of email messages to automatically track in Dynamics 365:
- All email messages
- Email messages in response to Dynamics 365 email
- Email messages from Dynamics 365 Leads, Contacts, and Accounts
- Email messages from Dynamics 365 records that are email enabled
- Automatically Create Records: Enable this option to allow the system to automatically create contacts from tracked email information.
Setting under Languages Tab
- Base Language: Displays the base language set during the Dynamics 365 installation process. This option cannot be edited.
- User Interface Language: Select the language for labels and dialog boxes in the Dynamics 365 user interface.
- Help Language: Select the language for Help content. To add additional languages beyond the base language, your admin must install and enable the required language packs. Contact your administrator for assistance.
