In my new blog post, I will show how to connect Dynamics NAV through Dynamics NAV connector for Power BI.
Since the last few Power BI updates users must enter OData URL for each OData web services.
From the last few Power BI updates, we have available Dynamics NAV connector in Power BI.
This Dynamics NAV Connector is currently in beta, but to get them to just go to Get Data -> Dynamics NAV and choose Dynamics NAV (beta).
In the new window, you will enter OData URL which we already used when connecting Dynamics NAV with PowerApps and Flow.
- OData URL – url specified for OData web services and who is available outside your network.
- Company – company name from Dynamics NAV.
When you fill all necessary fields click on OK and the new window will open
On the left side of screen you will find all your pages and queries published in Dynamics NAV through web services, and on the right side you will find the preview of data source.
Clicking on Load, Power BI will get model and data from the Dynamics NAV database and you can start building your own Power BI reports.
